I see r4ds and a micro sd but what else need to buy to start playing backups and homebrew?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks also any advice would be appreciated

Idk if you've sprung for it yet or not, but I'd suggest against it. The R4 use to be a good card, but it's outdated. There are better cards out there for less money.

Here's a comparison chart by my good friends from Nintendo-Scene

If you have your heart set on getting the R4, well then.. to answer your initial question, yes that's all you'd need. You can get it cheaper at realhotstuff
