my friend did the x clamp fix and a small little chip fell off the southbridge of the mobo.

either of us have a camera so i just found this pic of what fell off. (highlighted)

is it the 360 repairable still (for the x clamp) ? and he accidently mess up his big heatsink it got kinda pressed together.

Looks like a little resistor.. but it's a little hard to see! If it is, then you *might* get away with bridging the contacts.. otherwise solder it back on!

Since it is a capacitor replace the thingy, dont bridge it, you might just damage it even more

bridging is putting solder on it and so connecting the 2 contacts.

Soldering back on means that you are supposed to find the missing part and put it back in place, to do that you need a soldering iron

i have one of those smile.gif imma do it and post my results 2 morrow

this is not my mobo but whats messed up is highlighted in yellow (edit sorry its near the gpu heatsink)
