Microvision 360 hack slaps an Xbox360 on the back of an LCD TV
Posted by XanTium | July 9 20:04 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From engadget.com:
[QUOTE]
PvP_LostKnight seems to have decided his Xbox 360 was lonely and cold, so he stripped off the case and strapped the thing to the back of his old HD LCD. PvP has never been heavy on the instructions, but he's got a few shots of the "Microvision 360" setup, plus a video of all the excitement.

i wish that the video actually showed the back of the tv better...

I would not do this cause of heat. I think this would destroy a 360. I learned a hard lesson with my first 360 in a semi-enclosed cabinet on top of a stero reciever that was on about 20% of the time and it eventually toasted my 360. Good Luck and have fun.

Are we actually supposed to see something? I have seen dark corners and dark shadows behind many things in life and never thought to catch them on camera and put them on the internet.....I mean even if we could see a 360 behind the TV um...so what....I took a 360 and put it on my coffee table...wait wait I have a better one, I took my 360 and took it apart and attached it to the wall....then I attached it to the ceiling......how did this make xbox-scene news....I'll send you a link to a video of someone boiling water you may want to post up there. its craaazy!

Seems pointless, and kills portability. If he likes it thats all that matters.

Just a few things...

1) This is a great MOD, i agree isnt a hack, its a modification hardware wise.
2) This is 1000x better looking then the laptop someone made awhile back...
3) Kudos to the creator, great job!

All he did was make it look like a crt monitor smile.gif

if you can conceal/jide that power bar, id love this mod all the better smile.gif

good job lost-knight!

Xannax, till you contribute anything to the scene, just do us all a favor and shut your mouth will ya?

so its not a 100% perfect $200 modification, so what he was bored and had fun....good for him!

it looks ok for what it is, its not HORRIBLE...its not AMAZING either, but its better then anything im sure you've ever made or done!

I think its exactly what it is, someone was bored and fucked around...it's a good project, lots of way to improve it and i hope he does!

I can't see from the picture or the video very well but it looks like he managed to run the monitor and 360 off of the same power cord. It only looks like there are two cables coming out of it and one seems to be a controller cord (a black one like the Guitar Hero 2 cord)

This isn't one of the cooler mods but it's still a creative one. I wonder how well his heat dispersion works.
