Some Videos from Microsoft's E3 2008 Press Conference
Posted by XanTium | July 15 00:06 EST | News Category: Xbox360

For those who didn't watch it live ... here are some videos of the Microsoft E3 2008 Press Conference.

First a short overview of the 'New Xbox Experience' dashboard coming this fall:

This is a short video of some of the big games coming out soon on a 360 near you: Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Rockband 2, Lips, Uno Rush, Galaga Legions, Portal: Still Alive.

And if you want to watch the full media briefing you can watch it for free on IGN (part1, part2, part3 and part4) or download just the audio from majornelson.com.

Its to dull to me i prefer the menu that is on it now. maybe they will have an option to change it to "classic" or the non new style or so i hope.

I am hoping this style menu is not forced on us. I MUCH prefer the way the dash it now. They just need a better way to sort the marketplace content.

I love the new Microsoft stuff. Have been losing faith for a while but this stuff is rockin'

Love the new UI and "Mii" stuff. Hope it is like Mii's cos that crap is great for house parties (but I don't want to pay £179 for it)

"New Xbox Experience" = EPIC FAIL!

If MS forces this new dashboard (without letting me set the current dashboard as the default startup dash) then they can find my 360 at a GameStop, along with all of my games.

You will be able to choose what tipe of ui you want.

QUOTE
Dashboard built into the new Xbox Guide. For everyone who loves the blades interface, it’s not going away; they are now built directly in to the new Xbox guide. Every feature and option is available right from the guide. You can even access your full games library at all times. No matter where you are (in dash or in game), immediately call up your games played list and directly launch a game.

I like this new UI for people that like the WII ui, this time microsoft did it right letting people choose which ui style they want.

I don't think that is correct if your read it again. The "dashboard blade" will be one of the new blades in the new dashboard. No option to use the older dashboard as it currently stands. So you will get a "dashboard" blade while having a waving Mii in your face.

I wish Sony would announce Halo for PS3 biggrin.gif

The new dash looks like it could be Ok. I will just have to wait until fall before I make any kind of a decision.
