Q-motions Wireless Skateboard for Xbox 360 On Its Way
Posted by XanTium | July 20 23:11 EST | News Category: Xbox360
From chipchick.com: [QUOTE] We've been wondering when a dedicated surf/skateboard peripheral for Xbox360 and the PS3 would turn up. Well it's finally here, and this one will be wireless too. The Q-motions wireless skateboard features an Ollie button for kick flips, jumps, air maneuvers as well as its 8 touch sensors that let you perform all sorts of tricks and maneuvers. The board will retail for $99 at RadioShack come Fall.

100 to 1 says it will drop to $50.00 in less than its first year out... this is a flop. kids will have fun with this for about 15 minutes or less.... there will only be a few games for this thing.. and skateboarding games get old fast

The only way this wouldn't be a gimmick is if it was like Guitar Hero/Rockband in that the controller was built around the game and even then it wouldn't be much fun and it would likely break.

thank god this thing is wireless, definately wouldn't get it if it was wired Might have some potential in the hacking dept when this thing goes to the bargain bin.

Of course it will fail. If for no other reason, because it's from Radio Shack. Radio Shack has never made anything but flops when it comes to video game accessories. So being associated with Radio Shack itself will make this product fail.
For any device like this board, you first need a respected, credible, and successful accessory maker to be behind it. THEN you may stand a chance but if it's Radio Shack behind it, it will fail guaranteed.
I'm not hating on Radio Shack but rather just stating fact.
