hi a friend of mine has his 360 modded with 1.2 ixtreme and he always plays his backups with the network cable disconnected from his console, i asked him why does he do that if hes not even playing a multiplayer game. he said just to be safe?

my question is, is it ok to play back ups online even though your not playing a mutiplayer game? and will his outdated 1.2 ixtreme get detected playing any games orginal or not online?

Doesn't need to be multiplayer. Using a backup in the drive whilst connected to live, means you may already have been logged and victim of any coming ban wave.
This is nothing to do with Xbox 1 so moving.
