A Call From M$ During The Update Is Asking For MAC Address from the XBox 360 to validate install.
Am I the only one scratching their head over this?
Edit: I answered my own question

In that code from the CertPack file in the directory of the update, shows that there is a security check in the update during install to verify the Console is on a certain acceptance list from M$ to allows the continuance of the installation. Seems like there is more then 1 route to go with the installation. Right now the only thing I can think of to get it working is the following…
1. Have a update higher then public release with the required .xex files as stated on other sites.
2. Proxy with Xbox 360 to allow bypass of this check. (Which I’m Currently Working On Right Now)
Also, I found this little bit intresting...

Ok so now we possibly have a breakthrough on retail consoles. As you all should know by now the Update Files are all RSA Signed and almost impossible to edit the files. But thanks to a “Team Member”, we might have found a way to “Resign the PIRS Containers”, which is used to validate the Xbox information allowing the install to go through.
