this sucks for people that spent money on ebay( as the mod is soo simple). I feel ppl doing this, makes it no fun for ppl playing fair, and achievment whoring ( obtaining pistol kills like mad) (allright w/ your buddys lanning or something). I'm sure this will end up being patched, coders setting max allowed rates of fire, and whatnot.

Lol, no - it's funny. Really funny. It's a cheat after all and if you're going to pay good money to cheat at a game then you deserve everything that happens to you.

Remember than Xbox Live is a community and all you need to do is report someone 'cheating'. If enough people report them, they'll eventually be kicked off the service.

Anyone who got their controller on eBay is a bastard.

I only respect someone who mods it themself, and even then only if they use it when appropriate (i.e. when messing around, not in every match).

Wow, some people kill me with Gears of War complaints. Here's the everyday (and I do mean every day) complaints:

• Don't kill by chainsawing
• Don't kill with Lancer
• Don't use active reloads
• Don't kill with frag tags

Those are the main ones. What surprises me is that many people even complain like that on Raven Down, which only has grenades as an extra weapon, meaning you've got nothing but the above arsenal anyway (in other words, why do people like that even join the map?).


Anyway, for the rapid fire, I'm not too thrilled about it. I've always wanted to be able to get up super-fast in Execution mode, but I refuse to cheat (I don't weapon slide or crab walk either, even if everyone else does). I still tend to get up faster than the next man, anyway, so meh...

Not as sophisticated as the other methods, but a pretty genius way to do it. I assume the ROL on the controllers are like the 360 ROL, so its a PWM ground signal that grounds out the controller button when pressed. As for everyone acting like this is new, check out the hardware mod forum. There are a zillion different ways how to do, pre-programmed microprocessors that can be programmed with different fire rates, button combos, all kinds of fun cheating stuff. They do suck, but rapid fire/slo-mo buttons on controllers have been around since at the NES days I recall.
