Hey gang this post may come prematurely, (still have q's to ask my cable comp (comcast) but...

My tv picks up 2 hd channels and I am looking for more like discovery, etc in hd

Do they allow you to use your own receiver for hd channels or MUST you rent theirs?

I understand QAM picks up un encrypted signals are there any receivers that picks up encrypted signals? (That last one might be a long shot but... If I am going to get yelled at or scorned I rather it be done here at the scene.

Thanks for all you even stop by.

ok never mind.

If I read and comprehend the research I just made... tuners don't unscramble scrambled signals because it's illegal.

I don't wish to take anyone down that road... mods do what you will will this topic.
