From xbox360fanboy.com:
[QUOTE]
Adding to our mountain of September Xbox 360 price cut proof that we've constructed over the past few weeks, today we bring you yet another piece of adscan evidence. Pictured is a supposed Kmart retail adscan from the week of September 7th that lists the rumored Xbox 360 console price cuts: $199 for an Arcade, $299 for a Pro and $399 for an Elite.

I don't see anything about any "motion controller" on the 360 Arcade box...no big stickers or mentioning of it in the text.

If M$ wants to invade the wii gaming area, the only way there gonna even put a dent in that, would be if the "myth" that the motion controller was packaged with the arcade sku.

Yeah but even Nintendo thought the 360 motion controller was real so they revealed Motion Plus, and then there's the support for a motion controller integrated into the dashboard. It's just a matter of when MS will make their move. Who knows, maybe they will launch the controller at the end of the 360 lifecycle and then base their next console on it, giving devlopers time to get to grips with it and then claiming that the next console truly gives the full experience when better games start coming out.

Nice, would be even nicer if those prices could somehow beam theirselves to the other side of the ocean aka. Europe.

Euroland pricing:
Arcade - $294 ($94 more)
Premium - $383 ($83 more)
Elite - $545 ($145 more)

Oh well, guess they need somewhere to pull up that money they lose by selling those consoles to you with a lower price tongue.gif

Euroland pricing:
Arcade - $294 ($94 more)
Premium - $383 ($83 more)
Elite - $545 ($145 more)

Or to put it another way:-
Arcade - $294 (48% more)
Premium - $383 (28% more)
Elite - $545 (37% more)

I assume steveju's prices were originally in Euros, the Premium and Elite packs are a bit cheaper in the UK (packs are £160 ($296), £200 ($370) and £260 ($481) respectively, including Value Added Tax at 17.5%).

the rumor about the motion control also said that the 199 arcade would come with the fall update. it looks like the fall update won't be out for a few more months so, if there is going to be a motion control i would bet on seeing it around thanksgiving (end of november).

as far as the prices go, i think the 360 is sitting in a great position with all three SKUs.

You can't be serious, the 360 sales are very very slowly dwindingling as if they've finally conquered all the hardcore gamers and now are just picking up the stragglers, meanwhile the PS3 is slowly but surely increasing, blu ray will definietely be helping them too.

This christmas, is in my opinion the first REAL battle, the PS3 wasn't out for long enough last xmas, this one will be interesting.
I admit losing FFXIII is a big big loss though, Sony do need a few more kickass exclusives.

This may surprise you, but...

Sony is allowed to drop their prices too if they want.

Really.
