SickMods' ATX to Xbox Converter 2
Posted by XanTium | August 30 17:02 EST | News Category: Xbox

From sickmods.net:
[QUOTE]
The ATX to XBOX Converter 2 features several new features and improvements. This device will convert any ATX power supply to work with an Xbox1 motherboard (versions 1.0-1.5). The main improvement to this PSU Converter is the addition of holes which you can connect each of your connectors to. Since the ATX layout differs from the Xbox layout, this eliminates the hassle of re-wiring each wire individually to switch its location. You may simply solder the connectors to each side, or buy it with the connectors pre-installed, and the Converter will be plug-and-play. We have also added three red LEDs, which will aid in troubleshooting, should there be a problem with your power supply or in the wiring.

The advantage is that you can use it with a PICO psu to make a slim box or for a car install, also works well if you do a pc case install.

As for price the old version was only $18..........

-Well the tribal mods one has been out of production for a long time.
-Most all dc-dc power supplies are atx style (xbox in a car etc)
-stock psu is limited in wattage if you run many fans/lights/ccfls/multi hdd's etc
-Much safer to have a sealed atx psu on your work bench if you do a lot of mod installs/mobo repairs..
-most people have an atx psu kicking around so they dont need to spend $16 on an ebay psu...

I kinda like the old version better, it allowed for more flexibility when it came to installing it. However, this on is plug-n-play so I guess that's alright. The troubleshooting lights is a great add-on, but I still feel the whole thing is a little too late.

But I digress, like Infamous OB said; it's still good to see people other than ourselves cares about the xbox1 still biggrin.gif.

That's awesome, I've been wanting to my Xbox in the Jeep for a long time. I might have to go buy another one though, because my TV will miss it.

Fantastic timing biggrin.gif I was just about to under go a stock PSU extension project which would have been messy and clunky. Using this and a Pico I can keep my power completely within my new case project and just have a small 12V DC power plug on the outside to supply the Pico. They will even be supplying with a loom pre-installed for plug and play!
The news page says they are on Sale (in US) on Sept 1st. Cant wait! Thanks SickMods

You can buy it without the connectors and solder it yourself if you want.
