First Im new to Linux so if you can help with my problem try to dum it down so i can understand thanks

i have a 73" DLP 1080p TV
i try to install Ubuntu Linux but when i get to the install i cant see the button's like next or back or any thing like that the display is set to close
so after messing with it i got it to install by just hitting enter
when i goto set up the disply so i can see every thing theres only one choise that i can make
the sceen is to small i have a black outer ring so it douse not fit my TV can anyone help me .
