Hmm, glad its finaly official. Should definitely make things interesting now that you can pick up a 360 for cheaper than a Wii. Maybe time for nintendo to drop their prices too???

sweet. for almost the same price as an elite I can pick up 2 Arcades - and pick up 2 used 20GBs at Ebgames for $100.

Not too shabby! I'm driving down to the US if they don't drop these in Canada. Good thing i'm only an hour from the border! w00t.

where did you get it from? amazon.com has a 30day price match where they give you the difference if the price drops within 30 days of your purchase. other places might do the same thing, so check the store policy.

That puts the arcade at $50 cheaper than a Wii. That should make the Xbox 360 look very appealing to any
casual gamer who hasn't taken the plunge yet. Heck, it makes it look very appealing to me, but I don't think
my wallet can take it if I buy another 360. Must... resist... *runs to Wal-Mart*.

The elite has a ridiculous price point. 100 bucks for a 60 GB HDD and some cables, 100 more for an additional 60 GB and another cable? WTF? It really does not look like a smart move to buy one. They should have done 375 or even 350 to get people to shell out the extra 50 on impulse and make a tiny profit on it.

Don't complain... Australia still pays $350 for the Arcade ($291 USD), $500 for the pro ($417 USD) and wait for it, $649 ($541 USD) for the Elite.
