Note: could the codenames "Xbox Lean" and "Xbox Granite" mentioned on the document mean this will be a 'slimline' version of the Xbox 360? It's very unlikely to be the name of the 'Xbox 720' (project Phoenix) anyway (too early for that). Could just be completely fake as well of course ;)

fake or not, i kinda like the name pure. it's a clean, fresh, satiated type thing. i'd rather have pure than 720.

Yeah, and the other blogs that have picked this up are grr.gif , calling out CAG's credibility etc. Wasn't it just a couple weeks ago, they were circulating the story about Microsoft's big relaunch plans for September 25th? huh.gif

guys this was a hoax for a contest... check xboxfanboy..

Update: Looks like this 'rumor' was intended as a contest entry on CheapAssGamer. The contest: create a fake rumor and see if any gaming blogs would pick it up – so, we did. And called it a rumor, ie: something that may or may not be true. This one isn't, so move along.

I believe they have with the new motherboards coming out and the number of RRODs has dropped significantly already. I have a feeling RRODs are going to be a thing of the past.
