Xbox Calls on 3rd Parties to Open HQs in the Middle East to Tackle Piracy
Posted by XanTium | September 24 12:29 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From mcvuk.com:
[QUOTE]
Microsoft has called on third-party publishers to set up offices in the Middle East - in order for the industry to combat piracy in the region more effectively.

The firm's Xbox 360 has begun to see growth in the territory, but its success has been stunted in the region by illegal copying - not least in Saudi Arabia.

Of all the biggest names in gaming, only Sony and Microsoft have headquarters in the region.

So is this MS way to say it's DVD Drive security not very good, are they asking for more DRM? Because that would make drive reliability worser. Surely MS have enough money to sort the problem out.

And please no racial rule breaking, I have reported this.

Well not everyone in the world subscribes to the U.S. standard for piracy rules. In some countries its perfectly legal to download or make copies of games.

Screw Al Qaeda terrorism, genocide, and holy wars. Software Piracy is clearly the biggest issue in the Middle East.
