John Schappert, Corporate Vice President of Xbox LIVE, Services and Software, announced today during his Tokyo Game Show keynote that the New Xbox Experience will ship to Xbox 360's around the world on November 19th 2008.

I guess that should put an end to all of the speculation. I thought it would have been a week or two earlier.. but its almost my guess of near the 10th of November (Like most big Xbox releases).

There are rumours that the new update will detect any firmware modded 360 and the console will get banned from live. some people are saying that the update will be mandatory in future games (as in you cant play without updating first) once you updated no live.

With this new software (dash) and being able to install games to hard disc I have no doubts that microsoft have been working hard in throwing in some anti piracy firmware detecting, I cant see people who use copied games being able to put in a copied disc and install it to harddrive it will no the game is a copy and thus result in a ban from live or maybe something else?
