Microsoft Backtracks On Xbox Live Arcade Delisting
Posted by XanTium | October 10 18:45 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From gamasutra.com:
[QUOTE]
The delisting of lower-selling Xbox Live Arcade titles will be deferred or even canceled as a result of the forthcoming New Xbox Experience dashboard, says Microsoft corporate vice president John Schappert.

In May of this year, Microsoft indicated that any title scoring below a 65 percent score average on Metacrtitic, and with a 6 percent or lower trial conversion rate, would be delisted after a three-month grace period.

That's good, the whole idea was totally pointless and never made much sense.

Dropping the price and getting some sales is way better for all than delisting and getting nothing.

I agree, I was surprised when MS first announced they'd be doing this. Keeping the games around makes far more sense.

I have a 120GB HDD, so I download every trial regardless. I haven't even tried half of them. If there are a lot of oher people like me, it throws off this system completely. Good thing they aren't going through with it.

it's pretty stupid to just get rid of the games instead of pricedropping them(how about 50% off price for new arcade games?), that way they still get us to buy more new MS points scratchcards.

Not really on topic, but imo they should lower the price on all those games, new or old. There are several games that I would like to play, but I refuse to pay that unreasonable price as it is now.

For 20$ and a few hours of your time, you too can be the driver of a brand new ferrari. Just go buy Forza 2 =P

So much for Ferrari's being expensive.
