Xbox Live Banning Wave Options

I was around 3-4pm eastern, I was playing a legit copy of rockband 2, I played geras of war 2 as a backup but I made sure that copy was 100percent whicch it was a good kreon rip. I have a benq v.141 ixtreme 8x. Weir d thing when tryin to connect to liv e it always says my account is banned but not the console, but status code proves it is a banned console. I did update my rockband 2 and after that aobut 5 mins i was banned. Night before I downloaded the m1a1 for call of duty but I do not have cod waw yet.

I don't know why people always say disconnect your cable until it's over...it doesnt work......if you are going to get banned you are going to get banned...During the last wave of bans people was saying the same crap....unplug your ethernet wire and wait it out til a new firmware hit...I surely did it and updated my firmware...loaded up my xbox tried to connect to live then bam....instant ban....

I think people do it, in case they got lucky and microsoft didn't catch them in the act. Some people just seem to avoid getting banned. Every banwave they'res people who surivived. So I guess you unplug it, in cause you got lucky, you didn't get banned, and you want to hold off until someone figures out what the new criteria for banning is.

I'm not banned (yet), but I was playing Gears 2 campaign connected to Live but not playing against anybody (local 1p campaign). Using IXtreme 1.4 on a Hitachi 78.

If you have NXE Preview and you are banned what is the error code? is it the same?

Just tried it on mine and it said there was a problem with my internet connection! and when i checked for the status code it wasnt the 8015-190d it was ending in something like 199 :S

Just reporting in guys both my consoles are not banned as of 9.30 am GMT 11th November 2008

Benq elite ixtreme 1.41 never had any other firmware flashed to drive
played nearly all pre release titles GoW 2 Fallout 3 Cod.Waw etc etc

ms28 1.4 ixtreme not banned again never had any other firmware flashed
done the same with fallout 3 Gow and Cod and was really expecting this one to be banned
however strange thing is the ip address was not given for some reason and I have to reboot my router and it connected, this didnt happen with the Benq.

If either of mine get banned I will report back just cross me fingers...

You don't need to spoof if you are using the drive that came with your console...
You use the spoof when your original drive breaks and you have to get one that is from another brand, to make it look like it was the one that came with your console.

ixtreme, game not checked in XDVDMulleter/abgx360=ban
xtreme=ban
hdd spoof=ban
play the game before the premiere=ban
review copy=ban

Yeah same i got these error codes in a NXE console:

W: 0000-000B
X: 0000-F001
Y: 30A8 -4860
Z: 8015-1918
ID:0006-0001

It is a Lite-on drive which i replaced with a ms28 with ixtreme 1.4 don't know if its banned or not.

This ones only played a few backups anyway

Any time you play even one backup on a console (even offline), you risk being banned from live on that console.

BTW, anyone know how to check to see if a game has the proper SS and not one from a different game?

I don't think MS can ban you if you use a retail disc from a game that has not been released due to store error, or an employee that does not care about the release date. After all, it's not your fault.

I was under the impression that playing backups offline was safe? I only ever connect to Live to grab DLC, even then only for Oblivion and Blue Dragon, the rest of the time I am always offline. Though I did go on Live to download patches for a few games. So this is not the case? I would hate to lose the option of DLC, not to mention patches.
