I think they just want to spread the update over a couple of days or else their servers would take a big hit if everyone installs it at the same day.

My thoughts exactly, as big as the update is it will take a while and I'm betting it will kill the M$ servers.

Kotaku claims they have a disc of NXE in route to them, for review. Maybe other reviewers will get them to and inevitably, leeeeeeak.

I thought the same thing, I sure wouldn't try the beta and I'll wait a few days also to install the update, given Microsofts track record for putting out unreliable products, there is a pretty good chance that this update will wreck Xbox's as some of the past updates have.

I would download the NXE as soon as it becomes available, even in a pre-release like MN announced. I don't care, have plenty of warranty on my console.
