Is the PS3 as a blu ray player region locked as i have a PAL PS3 but would like to watch blu ray movies from other regions. I have seen info about the games being region free but what about the player?

360 version: v1 (xenon)
This is the main reason I prefer HDDVD over BluRay, they just made it into another restricted media all over again.
