Here's what I have:

- Korean Wii running official Nintendo v3.3K
- D2Pro chip (unknown firmware)
- Backups successfully running
- Homebrew channel installed

I understand that if I don't use the AnyRegion Changer properly I can seriously damage my Wii. If I do change my Wii to a non-Korean region (I'd be looking to change it permanently to N. American NTSC), are there any permanent/long-term damages that can result (assuming that I've done everything correctly)? If I convert it to NTSC, will I be able to play original N. American games, or will I still have to load games N.American games through Gecko's?

I'm thinking about changing from Korean to NTSC-U, and would like to know what the official steps are with a modchip in the equation, specifically the D2Pro.

The only thing that I know I need to do is boot up the AnyRegion Changer in Homebrew channel, and start the program. What do I need to do before this? Do I need to update firmware/system files for the new region once I've changed the region over to NTSC-U?
