NXE Launch Day Updates: Some LIVE and NetFlix Issues
Posted by XanTium | November 19 20:27 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From majornelson.com:

* As you can imagine, it's been an incredible day so far for the New Xbox Experience. It's great to see so much enthusiasm...it sounds like you are having fun exploring NXE. With an update of this magnitude, reaching more than 14 million people around the globe, we are aware some of you may be experiencing a few hiccups along the way. The LIVE team is closely monitoring the LIVE service and Xbox.com and are aware of a few issues including what's happening with Marketplace. The team is actively working on the issues, so thanks for bearing with us.

* We hope your're enjoying the New Xbox Experience. As expected, Netflix on Xbox 360 is a huge success, with the LIVE community flocking to this portion of the New Xbox Experience. Some of you may have had a few challenges earlier today but I wanted to let you know they've been resolved.

from netflix website:
QUOTE

Is HD content available?

Not at this time. We will be working to make movies & TV episodes available in high definition in the future.

I guess there are about 300 high def titles available, which seem to be pretty clean on a full 4/4 connection.

only title I could find in HD was heroes - but I am sure this will take off and grow.

Argh I hate this crap.
I thought you could choose like if you want to keep your old dashboard?
When I canceled the update it didnt let me connect to xbox live so I was forced to.

Another weird thing is that my xbox doesnt have any sound anymore since I did the update it might jut be coincidence but this sucks even more than than the actual dashboard.
It looks pretty cheap as well, they just tried to copy XBMC's Project Mayhem and they didnt do this too well.
The only good thing I found so far is that you can go in private chat with more people.

Was still getting a few 8008* errors when attempting to do anything on live last night but as of this morning things were running a lot smoother.

Gotta say things are much better organised now at least

NXE and Netflix works great here..

HD had a few titles, and the looks of the new "HD" movies?? well its better than a dvd but Its not 720p either.
I might try it for a couple of months if nothing better comes out at least the local video store rents Blu-Rays!!!!
I read web site that you needed at min. a 5mb connection to stream HD, good thing my work pays for 10mb for me smile.gif

I don't know what kind of sliding scale they use, but I'd hardly call it som issues. I get error everywhere. I also managed to delete lots of entrys in my gamerscore. Which made my gamerscore go down to zero and my avatar to disapear I have since gotten the score and avatar back. But my achievement history is gone. I can only see 15 games on my achievements list..

So I'd say nxe is #!#!#!#!#

How do you find the HD movies? I dont understand where you go.. On the 360 it just shows your instant queue which had a bunch of movies I never put there, on the netflix.com website I went to watch instantly tab and tried to look for movies but none of them said HD...

when u go to add movies to your instant queue under genres click HD and it will show all items available in HD. of course the quality that gets streamed is based on your connection, so it may be available in HD but if you dont have a good connection when u go to view it it wont be.
