Yeah, that's right. They're going to go through all that trouble just to catch the minority of people who are stupid enough to play online with modded boxes. rolleyes.gif

unmissable......right......and this changes the entertainment industry somehow? They could have just paid for a tv channel and broadcast it like that, like everybody else does it

And who said anything about changing the entertainment industry? No one! They're doing this as a bonus to live customers. I know ill take advantage of most of it (the watchmen for sure!) And who doesn't want to enjoy a free bonus weekend can just keep their boxes off!
Peace!

Anyone else extremely underwhelmed about this?

I clicked on this RSS headline off my Google custom home page thinking it'd be some great news.

Unfortunately, this sounds very stupid. Don't get me wrong, the bands aren't stupid, but this "offering" by MS is practically nothing and to call it both "unmissable" and an "event" is misleading. Even for music fans like me, this is maybe a 2 on a scale of 10 in terms of excitement.

*yawn*

My 360 no longer displays any picture on screen since the NXE update, either via VGA, composite or component.

Oh well, if I can guess the clicks involved I could still listen to it I guess.

"page not found"

Can I assume that this "three day non-stop party available to all Xbox 360 owners " is USA only?

with the all British lineup, I was operating under the assumption that this was a UK only Xtival.

www.xbox.com/xtival08 redirects me to www.xbox.com/en-US/xtival08 which gives me a "page not found" also.

On the whole I must say that I'm not that interested in this "event" anyway.
