how prolific are Pro Jaspers? My local BB does not display xbox, you must ask for one from a salesperson. Is it safe to say most if not all Pro's are Jasper's nowadays?

Got a Jasper Resident Evil LE, so I'm happy now! All the Best Buys near me have 360's behind glass, so it's hard to tell what board they are.

Hi guys... well i went jasper hunting with only $200 in my pocket as there is like a 99.999% chance i'll get it with an arcade(and plus i already have the 120GB HDD)

When i went into a local gamestop, i asked for the elite anyway. The guy who worked there was a REAL nerd, so when i asked to see it, he said, "You want to know if you got the new mobo right?"

I looked at the amperage and was surprised.....12,1V!

He also confirmed 2 more elites that he had were jaspers as well/

LOT # was 0903 FDOU

Because im poor, i can't bless all of you with pics of an elite jasper, but it was there. If anyone can donate to my cause, i can go back and buy one!

Hello,

my Halo Special Edition Xbox got the RROD 2 weeks ago. It was made in 08 2007 and has an input on the device sticker of 12V 16,5A, 5V 1A.
Now I have it back and it got a new motherboard as the little notice read MS put next to my fixed up Xbox 360. The question is now, did I get a Jasper board back?
The fans are new and have the delta triangle on them. The stickers of course are still the same since they sent me back my Halo SE Xbox 360 case and DVD drive. The power connector is not the one with the two partet upper piece but it still looks different (has one black knob between the two rows of connectors).
IPB Image
I only sent in my Xbox 360 itself, not the powersupply, so that one is still the same.
I tried to look through the fans to see the two white stickers but I couldn't read much (e00,.. 24..).
I don't want to open it but would love to know which motherboard I have. Is there any way I can find it out without opening the Xbox ?

Thank you in advance
Superhero360

Thank you for your reply Farenheit...I always thought the Halo Xbox 360s came with Falcons...Hmm somehow I knew MS would put in some old board. Why use something that actually lasts? Great...only a few months left on the warranty...

I don't think he does. I saw one come back (Zephyr Elite RROD repair) with NXE preinstalled. ZEPHYRS DO NO HAVE ENOUGH INTERNAL MEMORY FOR NXE. Ask Superhero360 to plug it in without a hard drive and see what comes up. This may be a new type.

NXE is installed to the flash on all 360's, its only the avatar/costume part that gets installed to the hard drive on non-265mb flash motherboards.

This is a Halo 3 unit (HDMI) with a 203w power socket which makes it a Zephyr. Period.

Hi ZeroCoolXbox,

at first I thought that too that maybe I got something like an "Opus 2" just for repairs but then I checked the motherboard with a flashlight through the bottom of the console and compared it to the Zephyr pictures.
I found out that I have three of those wired round spools (positioned flat on the board, not standing up):

The only difference is that mine is made of redish wire instead of a copper like color but that probably doesn't mean anything. So I guess it is a Zephyr after all...

P.S. It came back to me with NXE pre installed

There a ton of pages in this thread so sorry if this has been asked, but is it pretty safe to assume that all Arcade systems are Jaspers? I'm selling my v2 Falcon and plan on getting an Arcade Jasper since I'm keeping my HDD. I've heard that the box says 256mb of memory and no mention of a memory unit. Can someone clue me in? The local Blockbuster has Arcade systems with Sonic and some arcade games, so I was also wondering if those were the newest packaged Arcade systems?
