Hi all -
being the stupid noob that I am - I've sorta screwed one of my bios banks up on my DUOX 2 GS Lite (cromwell) I stupidly flashed a 1mb file while in flashbios mode and now when I'm in that mode the box just FRAGs.

I still managed to install xecutor 2 onto the primary bank through the eurasia diskset so I do have a working chip but I wouldnt mind fixing the other bank.

Would it just be a case of flashing flashbios using the primary bank? I have the file but I figure it will flash the wrong bank (i.e the one I'm using rather than the one thats broken)

FIIIXED!

Just to let you know - I managed to grab a copy of flashbios 3.0.3 and using FlashX2 reflashed the bios on the second bank. Just something felt so wrong flicking the bank switches over with the unit on!

It obviously didnt work to start with as it is a 256kb flash, so I had to pad it to a 512kb flash doing the following:

copy /b flashbios.bin + flashbios.bin fb.bin

Switch off, back on and bam flashbios is working a treat again!

Thought it might help others anyway

Did the same thing about 6 months back still got a flattened bank on my chip sad.gif

this is an awesome way to pad bios images.
after seeing this a month ago, i've been using it ever since.

and...

NEVER FLASH OVER FLASHBIOS!
