Hello

I just bought an xbox which was stated to have no bios. I'm quite new to the modchip branch and it seems this site is the best to go looking for help. I have understood that the front leds should be blinking red/orange when modchip is on, and just green when off. If i just press the power button once it goes to the default MS xbox menu. If I hold the button a couple of seconds it starts blinking and nothing will appear. I'm not sure this is the right way to turn the chip on.

My problem is it won't boot anything. I have tried slayers autoinstaller on both cd-r, cd-rw and dvd-r, but it wont load anything.

How do I install a new bios?

3G now working better, and brain engaged!!!

You can't flash a blank chip on an Xbox, and the XT only has 256k so you there's no other bank that might have a working BIOS on it. Consequently you need an external flasher, or you will have to hotswap the chip with another chip on a working Xbox.
