Do I need the original BIN files to update all the flashed drives to 1.51?

Or can I use the modded firmware on the drive as if it was the original?

360 version: v4.0 (jasper)
You can use the current modded firmware as original.

But if you have Hitachi make sure you restore to original before updating.
