ok, so i wired my xbox with a usb cable. the computer reads it, but as an unkown device. i have tried everything but it wont recognise it. i used xbcd and nothing pleeeease help. i would really appreciate it

Reads what? Are you saying you're plugging a USB memory stick into the Xbox using an adapter you've built, but then once the Xbox has formatted it the PC can't read it? If that's the case, just get hold of Xplorer360 beta 6 and run that on your PC.

no sorry, ok i made a usb xbox controller and want to use the controller on my pc. when i plug in the controller into the pc, it reads it but only as an unknown device

ok i think im understanding a bit more why the xbcd is not reading the controller. my system is a system 32 bit pc. but the xbcd are all set up for xp 64 and vista 64 blah blah blah. is there any xbcd that is programmed to work with vista 32 bit?

As far as I remember, there is a driver somewhere that can be used with the xbox controller and an xp computer. I don't think it is a 64 bit driver, as 64bit oses are rarely used. Since the driver is an usb client driver, it should work on Vista as well. Are you sure that the D+ and D- wires are connected the way they should? Not all usb cables use the same color coding.
