so my dvd drive broke and the one that was in my xbox is a Lite-on
so i ordered a new one and got a BENQ
so what do i have to do in order to get the benq compatible with my xbox?
obviously i cant just plug in my new benq and play right?

What about your lite-on is broken?
Does it even open and close with the eject button ?

You are going to need the drive key at the very least to get this working again.

it would open and stay open when i hit close then it would either close for a second nd open again, or it would just stay open.
and ever since i opened up my xbox the drive itself doesn't open.
and is there a simple way to extract the drive key from the lite-on without soldering or anything confusing that i could do from a laptop?? no access to a pc until summer time..

Lite-on requires alot of knowledge to extract keys from, even more so if the lite-on is damaged in any way.
