I can't set the controls in quakex 1.01, either by editing /ID1/config.cfg or ingame (i can set them ingame but they dont get saved). Tried renaming it to autoexec.cfg in the same directory and moving it into the root next to the default.xbe to no avail. Seems to overwrite it with defaults when exiting too, i think. Help! My life is incomplete with original quakeage!

QuakeX Custom.cfg v1.0 by devlkore
// Limk http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LFP75G7K
// Autoexec.cfg <-- This File
// This file relies on the custom.cfg that came with it,
// put both in your "ID1" directory in your QuakeX install directory

Need to push start every time you start quakex

My controls
bind "XBOX_A" "+jump"
bind "XBOX_B" "+movedown"
bind "XBOX_X" "impulse 30"
bind "XBOX_Y" "3rd"
bind "XBOX_BACK" "togglemenu"
bind "XBOX_START" "pause"
bind "XBOX_UP" "zoom1"//sniper mode
bind "XBOX_DOWN" "zoom0"//sniper mode
bind "XBOX_LTRIG" "+speed"
bind "XBOX_RTRIG" "+attack"
bind "XBOX_LEFT" "impulse 12"
bind "XBOX_RIGHT" "impulse 10"
To edit controls
edit custom.cfg
