I've fixed a bunch of no video and e74 360s, but this one isn't calling quits!:(
Well i first reflowed it and did what i usually do, then finished and plugged it back up, booted, nice! Played Gears 2 and Halo 3 on 1080i for about 2 hours, worked flawlessly. The next day, turn it on just to make sure it didn't come back, left it on for 30 mins. Cool, didn't come back, so I give back the 360, the guy says as soon as he gets home e74 popped up, oh crappyyy.
Now I heatgunned again, changed all the bolt tensions, nothing, won't boot up again, but then again, i'm still using the stock xclamps, but the guy didn't want to pay an extra 5 bucks so i didn't replace them, but I have fixed many other 360s and reused the xclamps, they're still running till this day.
Anyone have any solutions? I heard that putting a big blob of duct tape under the middle of the xclamp will get rid of it since it changes the tension on the clamps, should I try this out?

i wouldnt advise using duct tape as i cant see how it would change the tension that much
i would reflow again do the xclamp mod its not overly exspensive
also might want to consider 12v modding the fan
just some suggestions
