I would really like to rip a couple of my original xbox 360 games and if i understand correctly you can rip it with the new feature of ixtreme 1.6 "0800".

So that brings me to my question...how? I have already flashed my lite-on drive with 1.6 and i have jungle flasher 1.6. I also have xbox backup creator and imgburn. If i need to download anything else, that is fine.

I cant seem how to figure out how to rip the game. I have the game in my drive but imgburn and xbox backup creator wont see it. And i cant find anythign in jungleflasher 1.6 that has to do anything with 0800.

Also, lets say i do rip the game and have a ripped .iso or whatever format it is in. How do i inject ss, bins, and stealth file? Do i just use xbox backup creator for that or what?

Now if someone can answer my previous question i have another real fast. I also have an original xbox (like not the 360) game that i would like to rip. Can i do this? Is the process similar to ripping a 360 game? If not how do i do it?

I'm pretty good with hardware stuff like flashing and computer stuff, but never made a game from a ripped original game. So i'm new at it. It would be great if someone could answer and help me out a bit. Thanks in advance smile.gif

everyone is waiting on XBC to be updated.

you connect 360 yo PC with 800 disc in drive, so it gets detected in windows, then use XBC to rip game.

I dunno I flashed the 800 firmware to a spare sammy i had laying around and use that. gonna re-flash it with this newer firmware when XBC is updated to support it.

Yer my 0800 Samsung works fine with XBC 2.8 but my other samsung 1.6 shits itself when trying to extract the SS on 2.8. Invalid security sector is the error.

But from what Redline has been saying, XBC 2.9 (or whatever he is going to call it) is done, but he isn't comfortable in releasing it until its been completely tested.

Got to remember also, that in order to activate 0800 in the new FW, you have to start the 360 drive with the tray half open.

And, yes, I did try the latest Schtrom360Xtract and XBC 2.8. Both seen the drive, but neither could "unlock" the game partition in order to do a proper backup, so the newer XBC IS NEEDED in order to rip the game properly, or you need to flash the drive with 0800 FW (or use the 0800 disk, depending on the drive) and rip that way until the new XBC is released.

Misterturtle - if you rip your own game, you dont need to worry about all the security info. As long as you do a "full backup", all the info will be automatically included in the ISO image file. Alot of people argue this point, but after every rip, I always double-check it with abgx360 just to make sure that my drive didnt do anything "funky" to the image.

That's my doubt since the new iXtreme 1.6 was released. So, we need to wait a new XBC release. Ok. I was trying many programs to figure out how to make the trick.

OR

Power on, Open DVD tray, pull the power to DVD, shut off 360, push tray half way in, power back to DVD, power on 360

NOW

Drive should be detected on your Comp! tongue.gif

I have the same question about ripping an original xbox1 game, using a lite-on with 1.6 firmware. I see we have to wait for the update XBC, but what would be the process to properly rip the game along with the security files?

is there any actual "talk" going on among the developers of a new release that would allow us to rip from iX 1.6?

http://www.xbox-scene.com/

both 1.6 800 firmware, and XBC now released.

I have a sammy ms25 now flashed with new 800, and using new XBC. works great.

I have an ms28 drive flashed with the 0800 1.6 firmware. However, its not seen by my PC (except with JF) and XBC.

I have tried it connected to my my VIA card and the motherboard.

Do I need to re-install the VIA drivers to use the 0800 drive? Does it need to be connected to the VIA card?

Any other trouble shooting tips?

Thanks!

Try this first. Use sata 1 on your motherboard, reboot pc and scan for hardware changes in device manager. Also, whats happens when you open XBC? Do you see your drive? If you do it is recognized by your pc then.

no xbc does not see the drive.

so the 0800 drive should not require being connected to the VIA card? also, when re-installing the VIA drivers the PC freezes as when the 0800 drive is connected, so that is not the answer

So I didnt say to install the via driver's. Uninstall the via drivers. Don't use the via card. Use your on board sata 1 connection on your motherboard of pc(if you have one). Reboot pc and go to device manager and scan for hardware changes. The xbox360 drive should be recognized. It worked for me, but maybe your pc it doesn't.

I was just answering that question for others. I will try connecting to the PC this evening at the motherboard and see if that helps.
