I have an original copy of Halo 2 that I want to backup. I had one copy that would not play correctly, so i just bought a new one online. I want to back it up and put the original up for safe keeping. A few threads ago someone said you needed a kreon drive. Is that the only drive you can use? Can I use a Lite-on flashed with the 0800 firmware? And if so what would be the next steps?

I decided to try it with my lite-on drive. Xbc 2.9 sees the drive and Halo2, but it says this is not a true 1 to 1 backup, and the start button is greyed out. I want to make a copy of Halo 2 to work on the 360, any help would be wonderful.

Ok, I found out I had to use older drivers for my VIA card, it still says not a 1 to 1 copy, but I can choose start now. So its ripping it now, I'll have to wait and see what happens when I verify it against the original game.

I didnt see Stealth Check to verify against the original with XBC, but when I used Schtrom is says Overall Passed. I followed the directions here: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=670692
So now I want to convert it so I can burn it to a DVD9 and play it on the 360, but the one guide I could find about it says the image should have zero padding before I use Mulleter to convert the image, so what would be my next step?

forget about Schtrom and every other app exvep AGBX. Use that instead. Almost foolproof

Why would you burn on a DVD9? That is a waste of time, not to mention it wont work. You need to patch it using abgx then you need to burn onto a DVD5. DVD5 is what original xbox games are on (unless your talking about games not on the compatibility list those are DVD9)
