I picked up an Arcade and it came with the Liteon drive. Can I not just flash it with Iprep from my USB key like I did my old BenQ or do I have to use the CK3 and all that? Can I not use my 360 to power the drive like I did my old BenQ? I'm most comfortable using IPrep from a command prompt. The other ways look more difficult.

You need a probe/spear period to mod the liteon. Or some solder skills and some sort of extractor...If anything send it off to get modded. I'm one to offer this service, there are many others available to. Check the Installer thread. BTW id use jungleflasher for a liteon.

THIS is another tool you can use. If you dont want to do any soldering get the spear addon as well.

So you have to extract the key and do the rest of the flashing. It's not as simple as just hooking the drive up to the computer and flash it like a BenQ?

Nope, definitely not the same as the benq. Either order the additional hardware needed to mod the lite on or send it off to someone. I offer this service as well as others. Check the Modders BST or follow the link in my signature.

I use to think the other way was harder(jungleflasher) until I actually read the tutorial and found out that it was very easy ti use their program.
