Hey guys,

I've been doing some extensive research and couldn't find anything conclusive about this, so I'm counting on you guys to settle this for me.

Can you play backed-up Xbox 360 games straight from the HDD (either with or without the original disc on the dvd drive)?

I read somewhere about microsoft talking about an update that would let you do that, to extend your canon lifetime. Is that true?

Btw, my 360 is moded with iXtreme 1.5.1.

I think he was asking about how to play his backups from HDD without the original disc. I have the same question, and one more: can you do it from an external hd? I have my ISOs on my PC hard drive (don't worry, they are games I legally own, purchased myself) but I don't want to buy a DL burner and a bunch of verbatim discs. Any chance for me? I heard you can do this with a hard chip mod, any ideas on what chip I would need?

No you cant play game from the HDD without a disc in the console.

No you cannot play games straight from an ISO. They must be burnt to a DVD DL
