Ok guys, i have flashed loads of drives before. However, i have returned my computer to a previous state using norton ghost.

I have a via card 6421a & im using jungle flasher 0.1.60 with ck3 probe. I am trying to flash a standard samsung ms28. I open jungle flasher, hit sammy unlock & i get this:

Sending Sammy_Un_Lock to Drive on port 0xEC00
Stage 1, Complete!
Stage 2, Complete!
Stage 3, Complete!
Done!
Sending Vendor Intro
Vendor Intro Failed

I then hit "intro/device id" but it says

Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xEC00
Status 0x51
Re-sending Vendor Intro:
........................................
Device Intro failed!

I cannot get the drive into vendor mode. What am i doing wrong, its driving me nuts!

Please help!

If your using Vista, run it as admin.

then, with the mtkflash tab, pick the port then send vendor intro. when you see the .......... turn the sammy on.
if you want. you could turn it on when you start the pc, then turn it off and on again when you send the mtk vendor intro. but its more work. and its not really needed. (unless you dont know what port you are using.)

should put the drive in vendor mode and allow you to flash it.

did you try unplugging the power to the drive for a 1/2 second when sending the intro command?

Sorted guys, thanks for the help. Even after using 0800 i was still clicking sammyunlock instead of just intro/device id which put the frive in vendor mode right away. D'oh! It had been a long day...

Hi all having the same problems to not having much luck either can some one please give us more imformation about this problem i also have ck3 pro and am using the same software i think i may be missing ixtreme firmware?

IF Sammy-un-lock isnt working, and filing fter stage 3 on the intro (aka, not actually unlocked!)

I'd bet its not stock...

Like the OP, 0800 wouldnt unlock his stock drive, so it clearly wasnt stock.

Nice to know people read the pop up in JF too .... :/
