I have looked on the net and cannot seem to find the right 1.4gz cpu for xbox. I also heard you can make a switch to run at both speeds 1400 and 733, in order to play some original games. Does any one know who can still do this job, or where to buy a correct processor. Thank you

Those xbox were made by a company that is no longer in business. Sometimes you can find one for sale time to time but when you do you will pay for it. They are known as (DreamX) xboxes.

They created an adapter that took the xbox's 495 pin bga2 socket and converted it to adapt to a 370 socket. This is how they got the 1.4 processor to run on the xbox.

There is larger processors in the xbox's processor line that are interchangable. The technology runs out at 1ghz processors. They are 495 pin bga2 processors which is a laptop line processor. There is a member here that does this mod. He is located in china and his screen name here is trusty.

and it performs very well.

Sorry for double post.

I received the 1ghz board from Trusty. It's brilliant.
I provide extra info in this thread.
