LiteOn 83850c Video Flashing Tutorial Using FreeKey and LO83

OK so here's the video of me flashing my console that i just got back from the Texas repair center today. After i flashed the drive it wouldn't load games (thought i bricked it) turns out i just had to turn off and on the console then everything worked just fine..... Anyways heres the video:

Flashing Video Part 1

Flashing Video Part 2

It's kinda a rough draft as this was the first 83850c I ever flashed. And again at the end of the video it wont read the games but i just turn it off and back on and everything works just fine.

It ends abruptly in part 2 before you load up the xtractor tool. Is there a 3rd part?

Also, I do not have a CK3. Can I just pull the cable from the drive to power cycle it? Is that bad for the drive?

hmmm. There's only a part 1 and a part 2. Try waiting for it to load it's about 20 minutes long.

Also power cycling by pulling the power cord out of the back is risky sounding to me. I was reading about some people doing it earlier with success but i personally wouldn't try it.

edit.

Your right it seems to have cut off my video.. I'm gonna try re uploading it. Ill post back soon

what about turning the console on and off?

EDIT: waited it for it to load on 2 browsers, same thing. Even made an account thinking there might be a viewing limit or something, same result.

Personally I would not try doing this. I've read that some people have done it and everything went smooth. Report back and let us know.

Also i'm fixing the video right now

I actually dont have a new lite-on. I was just asking hypothetically because my friends have the older lite-ons and eventually they will release this solution for the old lite-on, so im just asking questions when i flash their drive

what about turning the console on and off?

That wouldn't work as it would close the tray as well.

Me too would recommend to get a connectivity kit of some kind before doing this.

I'm currently downloading it, I will mirror it on youtube when it finishes. Going a bit slow though, comcast dosn't give residents very much upstream mad.gif
