Hi All,

Just to let you all know, had 6 friends over HDs and projectors, thought 10 MB should be ok.
But as soon as the 4th guy logged on to PS3 connectings VERY lag'e on a 12 player team deathmatch.

Could get 4 friends on thou if was a 8 man team.
Was COD 5, also same on COD 4.

O well, was thinking of getting 50MB if it could take 6 players, if anyhow knows.?

Cheers.
G

its the upload speed that is affecting your lag.

50mbit with 10mbit upload comcast
will work fine with 8players

It's very high upload lines i guess. We hardly get this much BW here in asia.

I know this is old and dead but I will put my two cents in at least. Actually your problem is packet priority. The modem has plenty of bandwidth on upload to handle 4 Ps3's or how many you had. The problem is the packets are being slowed because there are 4 devices (and probably other data coming from other sources) that the router is trying to filter through and route and it will lag because of this. If you had a better router (maybe even one of those gamer routers that priorities those specific packets) you might have a better experience.
