first off... I am using a pre modded xbox i ordered off of modchips.com in 2006? not sure. but the point is, i did not mod it myself so it should be installed correctly.

The chip was a xenium ice with 2.0.1 preinstalled onto it.

my problem is that whenever i go into recovery mode(software or hardware) the xbox ring turns orange and i lose video signal.

there is nothing on the screen that ever says halt or bios upgrade successful.

observations: when i first enter the recovery mode and attempt to press eject the xbox light flashes red green then back to orange. when it sounds like the hdd and DVD drive stop to spin i try it again and it flashes green and goes back to orange.

I have a samsung dvd drive a 1.6 xbox and a xeninm ice.
