For the sake of the community I seriously hope not.

It's no big deal for me to go out and buy a rrod box and fix it but I know it's not that way for everyone.

This is the time of the year for a ban wave. It was to be expected.

I was just banned as well. It's the console - not the account. Firmware: Ixtreme 1.6

All games played after release and 100% verified by abgx.

100's of n00b's are waking up and turning on there 360's to find out they have been banned. Wondering why when they refuse to update there drives and patched there games or played early.

The forums are going to get flooded like last year.

No. It's something new this time. Like I said, all my games were 100% verified on 1.6 played after the release. I have no clue how they got me... ? I can't even remember the last time I played a game on my console. I usually just watch movies on my 360.

Maybe Halo 3 ODST got a new check. The Xbox calculates a checksum of unique files on the disc and sends them to microsoft. If two Xboxes sent the same checksum ... Microsoft knows thats a copy. Just like a Key for a online game, you cant play online with the same key (like on the very early counter-strikes versions (before steam))

That wouldn't make sense as all originals are carbon copies of each other.
