i got the xbox1 from a friend.
it has the slayers or evox dashboard installed.
i copied the music to E:\TDATA\fffe0000\music\0000\
because that's were the tracks of my friend have been.
when i copy music to the hd i can play it with the
slayers xbox media center but when i play e.g. forza motorsport
i can choose a few tracks my friend already copied to the xbox,
but when i try to play the new-copied tracks they
aren't even listed. and they aren't listed in the normal
xbox media player (default dashboard). what did i do wrong?
btw i copied the new tracks via flashfxp

greetz

edit: the tracks of my friend were in .wma format but it didn't play the new tracks although i formated them from .mp3 to.wma

You cannot just FTP wma's over to the xbox HD and expect the games to utilize them. All tracks must either be copied from disc using the MS dash, or sent to the xbox HD using special software that can properly build an xbox "soundtrack".

The reason is because the xbox has a file named st.db in the music directory that is like a "registry" for tracks ripped onto the HD using the MS dash. When tracks are FTP'd to the HD, they are not included in this .db file and so the MS dash doesn't know they are there and games do not see them.
