XVal 2.0 and Xbox Image Browser v1.0
Posted by XanTium | November 19 19:19 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Redline99 released 2 new tools:

* XVal 2.0
The X value is used as a visual indication of security "events". This value is from a field stored in secdata.bin, offset 0x28 for a length of 8 bytes. It is visually displayed from dashboard in one of the system info screens. The X value is encrypted though and this tool will decrypt and display known recorded security events.

The console does not need to be connected to Live to do this procedure. At the same time this does not guarantee that the console with a "clean" X value has not been flagged on the server side.

This can be used as a tool to check the status of a second-hand console and be valuable information in considerations before purchasing.
* Xbox Image Browser v1.0
This application allows file extraction from xbox xdvdfs iso's.

It should have the same capabilities as Xbox Backup Creator(info). I made this a long time ago for a friend and never got around to releasing it for others.

Sorry to Vista and Windows 7 people, the app will run but you will probably need to install additional components.

RedLine99: Thanks for the tool, it does show my box as being banned so yes, it worked for me.

Others who need more info:
From the Xbox 360 dashboard:
My Xbox, System Settings, Console Settings, System Info.

The Console Serial Number is at the top and the X value is the 16 digit code at the bottom right.

It would be interesting to find out what someone who hasn't been banned yet, but gets the repair request page error, sees with xval.

I get the Error This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try back again later. When requesting a repair. Unmoded works fine. And XVal v2.0 says my data is clean on both. Also not banned yet but I have been offline since the last banwave started.

Thanks,
Clean SECdata here, I tried testing this tool by putting in false data and it returned in error, even when change a letter or number in the 16 digit encrypted code, so it looks like the algorithm is the real deal. I am not banned (yet who knows if server side is flagged untill i try xbox live)

Now i have NOT been on xbox live since a week before Halloween.
below is my sytem info

D:2.0.8507.0 - K:2.0.8507.0 (BK:20.18888.0) (E:1) X:AF1A-63AF-70E2-E1F6 <------------"x value"

EDIT: i dunno about yall but i always keep my 360 unplugged when its not on to save on the electric bill, but this time it took me a few seconds before i could unplug after shutdown...
