Forgive me if I'm not perfectly clear here but,

I turn on my Modded Xbox /
I go to "Emulators" /
And I see all my Emu's there (Witch is fine but it looks like this :

Now, How do I Rename the Emu-names to what ever I want?

Ex. It says "fce" for the NES Emu.... But I want it to say NES

Try using unleashx.

It's a far easier to customise and has better skins than evox.

One you have unleashx installed you can edit the config.xml file to change the names and locations of any of your emu's or other apps.

Alternative methods include-
Copy the xbe to your pc then using Cxboxtool or similar rename them or
use xbmc as dash or just as an app. Using xbmc will allow direct editing of xbe names.
Just highlight the xbe, press white (i think) and rename.

ok , I went into XBMC and went to "My Files"
Then I located one of my Emu folders and Renamed the "Default.xbe" to NES.xbe

Now it wont show up on the dash?
(I have re-renamed it back to Default.xbe & it works again... just did not change the name)

So what do you mean when you say "Just highlight the xbe, press white (i think) and rename"
Do you mean rename from Default.xbe to NES
or Default.xbe to NES.xbe?

All Done!

Thanks for all the fast help, I ended up using "Cxboxtool"
Worked great and easy.

I wish I asked this months ago.

rename the 'xbe title' not the actual filename....
XBMC is the dash you should stick with....

Each XBE has a tag in it that dashboards use to determine what to call them. Think of it like an ID3 tag. Leave the filenames alone.

Do what cbagy said in the Programs view (as opposed to the File Manager view). The context menu option is "edit XBE title".

Edit: Double ninja'd. Woah.

You can't rename the default.xbe itself. it has to be called that otherwise the dashboard wont recognise it.

You can rename the app in the XBMC 'programs' section by pressing white button.

But honestly, like I said before, if you replace your evox dash ith a more customizable one such as unleashx. Once you get the hang of editing the config.xml file, which there are plenty of tutorials for around the web, or you could just ask for some help here with setting up your games list how you like. smile.gif
