OK, I got the box softmodded, and I got the larger harddrive installed. I have played around with XBMC, but it seems a little twitchy when playing my 300 albums I have downloaded. I set it for icons, but when I go back it is in list view. I set it for icons again, but when I back up there it is in list view again. Bottom line, I just don't really like it. Is there another media player out there that works in the jukebox style, ie pick the album art to start playing the album? Or are there settings I am just not finding in XBMC that will let me customize the music views more to my taste, or maybe even a skin that does a great job? Maybe one of the other dashboards does what I want, but I really don't want to have to download 10-12 programs just to try them out. Any suggestions?

Odd, should remember the view settings automatically. You could try wiping out all the database files (found in the UserData folder), see if that fixes it. Upgrading XBMC might fix it.
There's no other dash that'll let you do even a quarter of what XBMC does. Some can play MP3s, but that's about it - they have no concept of "albums" or anything like that. |

Thanks for the answer, however, clearing out the databases doesn't do any good. For some reason, I am unable to set up my music under the library view, and can only view it under the files view. Also, my version looks like it goes back to November of 2006, and I downloaded this off of the xb*** FTP site(not sure if this is allowed to say). According to the XBMC forums website, it looks like there are versions called Atlantis and others, but I don't know how new they are. Is there another place to download a newer version? If this question is not allowed, please edit.

QUOTE Is there another place to download a newer version? There is camelot beta 1 release on sourceforge site. You can download from sourceforge mirrors if available while selecting download. |

Sourceforge doesn't host X-Box builds. Follow c-2's advice.
