wait the filename says 'gentoo live cd xenon beta'. Does this mean that it will only work on xenon 360's ? I have a falcon. Could be this cause of the problems in the previous posts?

Thanks for the tut. I had a problem with nandpro. Couldn't get "FlashConfig:01198010". Kept getting 001200... Just for othes that have this problem, my solution was to soder the diode directly to the xbox motherboard. Tried it on the other end of my cable and I kept getting the wrong numbers.

For anyone interested I have a falcon board with a benq drive. Would not work with the resistors. Cable length is about 12".

Well then can you tell me exactly what you did to get this going? I have no idea why this is not working, I've burned it twice, and i'm getting nowhere.....

EDIT - Well I was able to burn this image to a DVD-R using DVD Decrypter and it worked.

Took at least 6 minutes or so to actualy get going it seems.

But I have a new problem, I'm unable to type anything with the xbox controller. Do I need to have a usb keyboard or something in order to do this? sad.gif cause I don't have one......

infidelity: try burning slower >16x

Still downloading mine, will try tomorrow. Once I fix this problem:

I got xell and the 8955 dash to boot fine. I was using sd resoultion on the xbox and I pics of the keys. They are super hard to read.
The wire on the Db1f1 spot jumped out. No matter how I solder/tape it back, I constantly get the last quadrant ring red. I dont know the error - no display.
Any ideas to fix that?
Edit: I know there is an alternative but cant find the point, if it is below the board then Im leaving it. Any tips on soldering properly to db1f1

If your flashconfig is incorrect, your LPT soldering is wrong, or you need a diode on 4

I have 5 bad blocks found with degraded but it doesn't say block xxxxx found at xxxxx. Any suggestions on how to fix them? Also, I noticed you were using degraded 1.1b. All I can find is 1.1. Would that be the difference? Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks

try using bad block remapper from redline. It was not tested but I used it successfully. I had 3 bad blocks and it fixed all. When nandpro was writing back to flash, it wrote 1 bad block though. But it booted fine

Hi, I am also getting the annoying error "could not detect a flash controller"

The thing is, i dont own a pc with an LPT port, so i bought a USB -> LPT adapter.
Connected that with Vmware 7 to an Xp virtual machine, the LPT is detected Ok in windows, but i cant get a connection.

I soldered the 100ohm resistors and diodes, on, maybe 30cm, cable.

Any ideas? Anyone tried dumping the nand with a Usb-Lpt adapter?

You should try a different pc , with a real LPT port. I has been known that most usb to lpt or pci to lpt won'T work with nandpro20b. Did you at least make sure it was set to a lpt port (378 / 278 or 3BC) i don'T think nandpro20b can look anywhere else. Mostlikely that adapter of yours won'T work.
