Nand Bad Flash Recovery, Requires External Power Options

Nandpro wont detect flash controller and your 360s power and eject button do nothing.

requires external +5 (red) and ground (black).
(usb cable, molex connector, etc.)

Zephyr:


Falcon:


Disconnect Motherboard from PSU, Plug in External Power, Flash, Disconnect External Power and Test.

Warning: if you plug in external power while the psu is connected you could kill the console!

whats wrong with shorting pins 41/42/43/44 to stop IO to the NAND and bypass SMC code on nand?

either way, still good to see you can flash the 360 nand with no PSU.

Shorting pins 41/42/43/44 to stop IO i have today killed my nand not sure how yet as it was writing fine but when i tried the power the console i got nothing (dead) i have tried shorting pins 47 and 44 but still cant re-flash nand.

i might add i my rush to fix i pulled off the pad of pin 47 not sure if this will effect anything yet

it was all going so well lol

Is there any thing i need to do i regards to powering up and so on

remove short on pins
and see if the nand can be seen

OK it worked shorting the pins was AOK lol i am now working, still have a problem with error 79 tho lol but im getting there.

USB is 5 volts so cut up a USB cable and connect the red wire to positive and the black to ground

how have people been connecting the wires to the xbox points? Do you just solder them on while reviving/reflashing then unsolder them when done?

With USB could I cut a printer cable off at the printer end solder the red wire to the red point and black to the black point and then plug the other end into a computer?

Hoping this helps my falcon which doesn't power up and the flash controller can't be found as shorting the pins on the NAND hasn't helped me so far

I have a falcon board that stopped working just like you said buttons wont do anything i don't have a nand dump will this allow me to get a good dump?

Sorry for the bump but I was unable to edit. I tried this technique using USB as external power source, but was unable to get rid of "cannot detect flash controller" error. I attempted this on a falcon mobo. Could this have damaged my nand?
