Does anybody know if it is possible to edit any document in the ZSNESXBox setup to direct it to different directories for videos and any other directories?

Isn't that in options along with where you change the ROM directory?

Not that I'm aware of. I haven't figured out how to alter the video directory. If you know how to, please give instructions. cool.gif

Open up the path.ini file from the ZSNES folder on windows and you should be able to change it from there then transfer that back to the ZSnex file.

Have you done this before, or are you guessing? happy.gif

I would have said the same thing to somebody not having looked at it, but I was messing with a bunch of stuff and couldn't figure out how to do this.

I'll give it a look when I get a chance. Hope you're right. I'd love to be able to use ZSNESXBox again.

Thanks,
~Rx

I never got into video, but there are a bunch of artwork slots there in the .ini and when I changed those around for pics it worked...

you should PM Nes though since he ported it, he would know for sure.

I mentioned this a few months back in the Ressurection Xtra's thread. Yes, you can edit the file, and just copy it back to the Xbox... I highly suggest keeping them in the order they are in, if I read ZsnsesXbox source code correctly. ... ohmy.gif

Oh this is good news then. I'll have to figure it out and I'll make instructions on how to do it when I do.

I've NES, but he doesn't answer me. I hope I didn't offend him in some way somewhere along the line. He's got a great emulator here and I'm looking forward to trying his FBL when I get this emu stuff out of the way.

Thanks guys,
~Rx

Ah....

I remember what the problem was now.

Here's the path.ini:

usePathINI=1
D:\bookmarks\
D:\artwork\Shots 1\
D:\artwork\Shots 2\
D:\artwork\Shots 3\
D:\artwork\Shots 4\
D:\artwork\Shots 5\
D:\artwork\Shots 6\
D:\artwork\Shots 7\
D:\artwork\Shots 8\
D:\sram\
D:\save\
D:\ini\
D:\rumble\
D:\cheats\
D:\garbage\
F:\Roms\Nintendo\SNES\

I don't see anything for video there. Know where I would put it or if it would even work?

That won't work. There's nothing anyone can do besides adding new code. The video path is allways assumed to be D:\videos. You could hex edit the default.xbe and change it to E:\video or G:\video.

That's kinda what I thought back when I tried this a few months ago. Changing it to E or G isn't going to help either.....

Would it be a lot of work to tweak this NES so you can change the video directory in the path.ini like you can control everything else?
