I originaly had v1.0 of the dash installed. I then just obtained v1.3

My 1tb usb hdd has the fsdata located on it

On the root of my retail 360 HDD, I have the folder Freestyle Dash v1.03, and inside that folder are the FSD Indexer, RunXeX, Source, Xbox 360 Dashboard folders, and ReadMe.txt and skindetails.txt

I went to my NXE dash, and went into network connections. It says the following...

IP Address 192.168.0.4
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1

My laptop has the following *obtained by ipconfig in cmd*

IPv4 Address 192.168.0.107
subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.0.1

Now, I've used FlashFXP for many years with my xbox1. So in FlashFXP, i put in..

192.168.0.4
xbox
xbox

Now, to test this, for the hell of it, I launched FlashFXP from the retail 360 NXE dash, and FlashFXP gave me a list error. So then I loaded the Freestyle 360 Dash, ran FlashFXP, and it looks like it has made a connection, but there is nothing in the window, and I can't even create a folder in the window, to see if I can find it through a file manager like XeXMenu

Please, I'm really going nuts over here trying to figure this out. I read the entire 11 page thread on the release of v1 and found no answer.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank You. smile.gif

Are you using active or passive mode? For now only passive works...

No, it's a setting in FlashFXP. If you still cant get it to work, try FileZilla.

Filezilla only works with XeXMenu right now, for Freestyle you'll need to use FlashFXP - XeXMenu requires xbox:xbox as a l/p, but with Freestyle you need to log in anonymously.

You need to enable passive mode to make it work. Hit Quick Connect, select [Toggles] and check Passive Mode.

WTF?!?

I keep getting a directory error. I tried FileZilla on XeXMenu. It says it's connected, but it shows no directory?!?

Please, can I just get a step by step on where files and shit should be? cause this is just really aggravating. I've used 2 different FTP applications, they connect, but shows no directory, and I'm unable to create any folders in those phantom directories.

Please help! sad.gif

I AM STILL GETTING AN EMPTY DIRECTORY, AND I'M UNABLE TO CREATE A FOLDER!

I ran FlashFXP with no username & password, and I get the same results.

What is supposed to showup right when FlashFXP or FileZilla connects to my 360? It says it's connected, but there is NOTHING showing up. I need to know how people have there Freestyle Dash setup. Do I have it in a wrong location? what is needed for me to have FTP usage??????

Please help!

EDIT - your kidding me right? the whole reason why i couldn't connect was because I added a name in the Remote Path in FlashFXP. I've always done this with my ip addresses for xbox1, and never had a problem. So what I did was just put in the ip address of the 360, no username, no password, no remote path, and it connected. resolved now.

Well, uh..yeah. When you put anything under "remote path" it switches to that directory, when you connect. XexMenu/Freestyle aren't smart enough to say that path doesn't exist, they just switch to a nonexistant path and say "ok, you know what you're doing". It's stupid, I agree, but why would you put anything there without knowing what you were doing anyways?
