if your not using a wired controller your not a true gamer.
Edit: you forgot M$ Quick Charge.

+1 haha i think im the only one using a white wired controller on an elite? the whole wireless controllers lost its appeal when i wore out 2 battery packs in the first year of the console's life...

the wise choice is ... Rechargeable (NiMh) AA's.

because those are much cheaper and work just as good as official battery packs etc.

Well, this certainly explains all the moronic posts in every news thread.

a battery is a battery, they can't ban those the way they do memory cards or hard drives so they can charge an insane premium for off the shelf parts

I have one ebayed official Play & Charge cable to charge my 2 packs, but one of those packs really heats up like a mofo. 4 hours charging time and a temperature of 80c just doesn't seem right. Thinking of moving to rechargeable AA's and a wall charger.

Eneloops and a good charger. I swap the batteries out in my controller and headset every time I play so they never run out - cheaper than the play and charge kit and doesn't quit working after a year.

I used to use the official battery pack + quick charge kit.
But after the battery packs stopped charging, I cut them open, took out the 2100mah Sanyo batteries & used them in a standard charger biggrin.gif

I also use 4x Sanyo eneloop's - got them for only £6.50 delivered from Amazon =D

rechargeable AA's are the easiest/cheapest...and from what i hear from all of you guys..the play and charge kit dies after 6 months to a year. i have some rechargeables that are over a year old and still last for days.

i paid $10 for my charger and 2 energizer nimh's
